Hope is a Homebound Wave
19•May•2024, A Tanka-a-Day of Hope
Gentle Reader,
Hope is hard to extinguish. We are infinitely blessed because of this truth. Though, in spite of this comforting knowledge, we also know instances of fragility and uncertainty can vine their way in between this luminosity. This is where empathy and compassion come forward and take each of hope’s arms and hold her up.
We hear this saying too often, it begins to become so much background noise. I invoke it today, because we need to receive it once more, earnestly comprehend it: We never truly know the depth and breadth of what every other person is struggling with in their daily lives. Let us always proceed in each step with generosity and kindness.
